Lola  captures the essence of her communities by photographing mundane subjects, blending them together to create abstract representations of her surroundings. This process helps her refocus on the overlooked fragments of her environment, especially on details that often disappear when becoming settled in a familiar space. Through this work, she explores how people may subconsciously absorb visual information from our communities, and her aim is to present environments that shift from representational to nonrepresentational, challenging viewers to see the familiar in unfamiliar ways.
